Monastery Ruin Disibodenberg

Because of the amount of targets which are connected with history I called the Corona vacation tour 2020 "travel in time". The last destination was the monastery ruin Disibodenberg. A wonderful complex with some Indiana Jones places and views. It is a well groomed ruin which is managed like a museum. You have to pay an entry fee and then you can walk through the ruin walls and enjoy some nice places with a beautiful view. The complex was really big. on some corners you can envisage how huge the church was. Often there are just the ground walls left. Interesting is, that the massive stone table from the chruch were the priest hold his predigt is still intact. Maybe is not the original and restored but no matter. It looks cool on such a place. I found just a small barn which was intact and I think that it was not a original building. The museum staff used it as a storage. I saw that the staff also uses the old cellar and underground ways as storeroom. Shame, because I was very interested in explore the underground corridors and cellars. So you have just the walls between massive trees and some walls of buildings. On some buildings I leave the main path and explored the inner of the old buildings. This was really cool because of the feeling. There were not many visitors so I feel alone and without noises of people such places are like an exploration of a fantasy setting.
